We sometimes treat God like we just met. Like a total stranger that does not know us. I sometimes wonder if my needs are on the top of God's list. I forget that we have history. I forget who I am dealing with -- God not man.
When you have been abandon by people close to you in the past it is hard to trust. God has always been right beside me but I confuse him with people that have left me at times when I needed them most. Then I remember this scripture.
John 15:16
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
You did not choose God. He chose you. He picked you out to make something wonderful happen in your life and in the world around you.
Don't treat Him like He is a stranger. Dust off your faith and give it back to God!
Matthew 9:29
Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you";
James 2:5
Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
